Project location:  1st, Bujinkhen and Ireedui Kindergardens in Uyanga, Zuun Mod soums (counties) of Uvurkhangai and Tuv Provinces, Mongolia

Project goal

The project aims to plant 1,500-3,000 trees each year in Tuv, Uvurkhangai Provinces and Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia, to create green spaces to reduce carbon dioxide and air pollution, and to educate the public on green spaces, and global warming and climate change.

Main activities

Tree planting, setup drip  irrigation systems, conduct tree planting training and information

Outcomes

We established four green spaces and conducted Tree planting, green space creation and how to mitigate climate change practical training for staff teachers, students of  four Public Schools and a kindergarten in Arvaikheer, Bogd, Esunzuil and Khujirt soums of Uvurkhangai Province. A total of 3,021 teachers, staff, students and children of kindergarten and schools are working and studying in clean, healthy and safe environment. Tree survival rate was 95% by October 2021.
